Flash Back

On friday night i went to the 24 hour book sale with some friends. I pretty much headed straight to the magazine section to see what wonders i could find. And i struck it pretty lucky, with a small hoard of vintage vogues. The earliest one i found was August 1986, just a few months shy of my birthday. I would have been stoked if i had got December 1986. Oh well. So here are some images (not the greatest quality sorry i quickly scanned them this morning.)

1. The Cover. Cindy Crawford in her teenage glory.

2. I had to include some of the fashion houses. Holy cow some of them have not changed much. 1980's fashion definitely was a forced to be reckoned with.

3. And i had to include just a couple of the random and hilarious adverts also in the magazine. 

You wouldn't get away with this these days. Marlboro lights, the cigarettes for Cowboys. Yeeha. 

And this is of course what every modern 80s women needs in her handbag. Got to love it.

Plans to take over the world...

I'm sure everyone at some point has dreamed of world domination? Not in the evil warring kind of way, but instead in their field of expertise. I have had dreams of domination and even have a long running joke about building an empire... I wonder if it will ever happen.


Well in the last couple of months i would say that i have done a lot of soul searching, figuring out my place in the world. I have come this conclusion; I have absolutely no idea!


So what is a girl to do right? Well today i started sewing. And tomorrow i might do some more. And in my dreams the other night i came up with the perfect concept to include everything i love. Sooooo my advice to someone in my position. Don't force anything, let things just happen.


Wah wah wah enough ranting lets get to the good shit!
