I'm back...

Okay, yes i know i'm an incredible slacker. If you knew my life right now you would totally understand why i have completely forgetting about my blog. So as a new start here are a few things i have been up too.

1. Finished my post grad studies
2. Been to Sydney
3. Worked as an intern at Grazia magazine in Sydney
4. Moved home (ahhhhhh)
5. Got a job

Today i am also flying to Auckland to intern for a week at Simply You. I am pretty gosh-darn-it excited, not as nervous as i thought i would be but i think it's going to be a great experience.

So enough boring you, lets get down to it with some things i love at the moment to get you through another Sunday afternoon.

1. Lady Gaga

Without sounding cliche, she is incredibly fierce. What a trail blazer for individuality. Love her.

2. Alexander Wang Pre-fall 2010

I'm still a head to toe black clothing wearer, so of course i love this collection. Wang can do no wrong really.

This is a great blog with relevant and gorgeous editorials posted on a regular basis. The one above is from Vogue China, January 2010. I am also in love sumptuous fabrics and interior textiles like wallpaper, so this spread is a combination of all those plus amazing fashion. MMMMM.

4. New Perfume

My one extravagance while i was in Sydney was new perfume. I couldn't see past Marc Jacobs Lola. It's beautiful, floral (which is totally unlike me, i'm definitely not a girly floral girl) and the bottle is simply ridiculously cool.

5. Religious Icons

I don't know if it's just because it's almost Christmas but my love for religious icons is definitely growing. They are peaceful and beautiful wouldn't you agree?

All for now, i'll try post from Auckland.

Prorsum Please

Okay okay, yes i know, two posts in one night... i couldn't help myself. You need to gander at these beautiful shoes by Burberry Prorsum. I'm in love with them all.

Net-a-porter

The last ones remind me muchly of my lovely Kate's Kathryn Wilson boots, see them here.

Stomp, stomp, stomp. Yes please.

Freaking Out

Well we all knew it was going to happen, the nearest and dearest to me won't be surprised... I'm so nervous about my internship in sydney that i have actually come to a hault and don't know what to do. My mind is so consumed with possibilities and woes that i can't concentrate on my last bit of school work to do. Much ado about nothing right? Wrong! Well maybe right. Man i just don't know anymore.

One of my biggest dilemmas is what on earth do i wear. I have shoes (glorious amounts of shoes) and nothing to wear them with. I'm fine on the accessories front but god knows what they will embellish.

HELP!!!

I need suggestions quick. So please leave a comment, a few wise words perhaps. Argh.

I think i am going to invest in some Complex Geometries, a couple of basics from Country Road, but i feel like i need a man style pant that i can fold up at the ankles and rock around in fancy shoes.

Which brings me to Brogues, i think they are a must for summer, especially with floral dresses. Or actually you could wear them with anything you like, and if your looking for inspiration to follow you can't go wrong with Alexa Chung at the moment. She is on fire in the muse world, dictating trends all over the world.

Of if you have millions of dollars why not get yourself a couple of pairs of these brogue-ish lace ups by Christian Louboutin. I have to say the silver ones are quite mesmerizing.

God what else do i need. Sandals? yes i need sandals, it's going to warmer over there than anywhere found in New Zealand. Oh man i need to do some serious shopping. Holy Norah.

Oh and my Mum sent me some Dutch magazines from her travels so i have some sweet editorials i want to post soon.

Romance definitely rules.

Just looking through some Australian Designer Websites and i have to say my favourite yet is Romance was born. Check out these fantastic pics from their website.

Their stylist has some serious chutzpah indeed. My style has never and probably never will be romantic, but one can dream of sherbet coloured dresses and lace eye brows. Mmm.

Shona Heath

I had to do it I'm sorry Kate but the editorial is just too beautiful. So here is it guys, something that has got my brain ticking away into over drive with creative thoughts, and man that hasn't happened a lot this year.

God, i'm going to make a paper doily dress at some point before the end of the year. AMAZING stuff.

Enjoy it, be inspired from it and go forth and CREATE.

Update time.

Well, gosh darn it, it has been ages AGAIN since i last posted. Man alive am i slack. There are a few good reasons though. A. I finished University for ever. (well not quite forever but yeah) B. My mum is in Europe so I'm home making sure my dad doesn't starve without her and C. I've slept pretty much for the last week, finishing university took a mighty toll.

But to more exciting news. I have found, tried on, fell in love with and lay-buyed these shoes!

I'm not sure if you will remember or not but i blogged about these shoes a couple of months ago and i couldn't get them off the brain. So when i actually found them in Wellington i had to at least try them on. They fit like a glove, like they were made for me. So yes, my life savings are going into them because not only are the fabulous, they are a long term investment kind of fabulous.

So what is next for you? Is a question i am bombarded with now that i am in the last finishing stages of my second degree. Well in actual fact i am off to Grazia Magazine in Sydney for 2 weeks in November as an intern. I am so excited, and nervous and anxious and overwhelmed, but looking forward to a very important step in my career. Check out Grazia Magazine online here.

Man am i lame at the moment, i don't really have anything else to say at the moment, but yes i will be more proficient with the posting from now on.

Hey everyone, just a quick update, i'm so busy again with the last week of my degree coming up so i'm in serious work mode.

But just for a nice refreshing end to the fashion month, i thought i would end on a rather sophisticated preppy collection by Hermes.

Secretly there is a preppy person inside of me wanting to break free, that's why i'm constantly drawn to utilitarian clothing i think.

Hope your having a great weekend.
