Boy Crush

Ahh its almost summer, well ... maybe. I should wait to see if the weather holds out, but it is amazing what a little bit of sunshine can do to a girl. Here is my latest boy crush, James Franco, the rebel rouser with stunningly good looks (a la james dean really).

Flash Back

On friday night i went to the 24 hour book sale with some friends. I pretty much headed straight to the magazine section to see what wonders i could find. And i struck it pretty lucky, with a small hoard of vintage vogues. The earliest one i found was August 1986, just a few months shy of my birthday. I would have been stoked if i had got December 1986. Oh well. So here are some images (not the greatest quality sorry i quickly scanned them this morning.)

1. The Cover. Cindy Crawford in her teenage glory.

2. I had to include some of the fashion houses. Holy cow some of them have not changed much. 1980's fashion definitely was a forced to be reckoned with.

3. And i had to include just a couple of the random and hilarious adverts also in the magazine. 

You wouldn't get away with this these days. Marlboro lights, the cigarettes for Cowboys. Yeeha. 

And this is of course what every modern 80s women needs in her handbag. Got to love it.
